This past summer, all new bog bridges and boardwalks were installed at the Pfeiffer Arboretum, using black locust timber harvested from the Lake Mansfield Conservation Forest and donated by the Town of Great Barrington. This project involved 14 teens from Greenagers, 3 crew leaders and one director. Volunteers contributed 119 hours of work.

River Walk added a March for Science to its annual Earth Day volunteer workday this year and over 200 families, community members and visitors came from near and far came to make signs, talk about how important science is to them, and march in its defense. Science has always informed our work at river walk, from water filtration, to habitat restoration, and to the growing of native plants.  Email us at info@GBLand.org to find out how you can be a part of our effort.
