Volunteers are a crucial part of the Great Barrington Land Conservancy.

From the beginning days of Housatonic River Walk, when dedicated volunteers hauled tons of debris and garbage from the river bank, we have relied on volunteers to get the job done.

Our volunteers have helped to maintain the trails at the Lake Mansfield Conservation Forest and Pfeiffer Arboretum, pulled out invasive plants from the lake or Fountain Threemile Hill Trail, helped to staff our annual road race Run for the Hills, or even stuffed envelopes for our annual Hullaballoo fundraiser.

We are a small town land conservancy with a big mission.

Would you like to help out?

Please fill out the form below and tell us how you would like to get involved.

Please select the types of volunteering you're interested in:

Help GBLC organize and run special community events. We need volunteers who can stuff envelopes, hand out flyers, manage  a sign-in table at a fundraiser, help coordinate our annual road race, Run for the Hills, and other activities.
We always need volunteers to help clean up trails, pull weeds and invasive plants, or assist in repair and construction of our trails.
If you can write a press release or a leaflet, please consider using your talents on behalf of GBLC.
We are looking for volunteers who can help update our website or keep it fresh with new photographs of our special places.
