7.16.2022 LM Explorers!
After gathering up and sharing names, we explored making animal shapes through yoga. Then, the team shared careful observations of a feather, and Senta demonstrated ways to bring color to paper as a nest for a form. Ready to move, each explorer went in search of interesting things that could fit into our hands, then returned with discoveries to our circle to create. First, using pastels to bring color to paper. Our fingers were the perfect tool for stretching a smudging color! Many sketched in their chosen object. Some used pencil to add final details. Each Explorer's page was unique.
Next we made music! Exploreres paired up to make Sound Conversations using Hapi drums. Drum sounds were nestled within the beat made by egg rattles.
