A.T Hike to Ice Gulch

Saturday September 23rd 10 am – 1pm, registration required.

The Appalachian Trial invites you to unplug and step out of the hustle and bustle of daily life and into the quiet of wilderness. This 2 mile section hike will allow you to explore forest and views of the rocky crevice called Ice Gulch. We will rest and snack at the Tom Leonard Shelter and take in a panoramic view. We will retrace our tracks for the return journey. Join naturalist Christine Ward, an AT Maintainer and Cheryl Byrne, Conservation Steward for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy to learn about the natural diversity, history, and ongoing volunteer maintenance of this iconic national park. Meet at 10:00 AM sharp and plan to hike till 1 PM (Total mileage: 4 Miles, contains steep terrain)

Bring snacks and water. Sturdy hiking shoes required. Poles suggested.
